Helping Brian With An Unusual Situation On
His Northeast Roofing Project? It Was Our
Pleasure As Full-Service Exterior Experts
Our Personalized Approach Was Just What He
Needed To Cope With His Insurer’s Requests
Homeowners in need of a Northeast roof replacement typically follow certain steps to pay for their project. That includes getting their roof inspected, filing an insurance claim, and proceeding when that claim is approved.
However, some local residents take a more roundabout path to obtain a new roof.
That was the case for Brian L. of Wilmington, Delaware. Brian wanted to hire a roofing company before securing his insurance coverage. What’s more, for unusual reasons, he wanted to send samples of his old roof to his insurer.
At Victory Home Remodeling, we always strive to accommodate the wishes of our many customers. So, it was in this spirit that we stepped in for Brian and helped him get what he needed.
How’d we do? Brian was so happy with our efforts that he more than tripled the size of his overall project!
Brian Chooses Victory For His Roof Replacement
When Brian contacted us a few months back, he already had a roofing company on tap for his project. However, something about that company just didn’t sit right with him.
So, before it was too late to change his mind, he scheduled an appointment with Victory.
Brian liked what he heard when he met with us. In fact, he liked it so much that he canceled his original contract within the legally allowed timeframe. He then officially made us his roofers of choice.
An Unusual Situation For A Northeast Roofing Project
While talking to Brian, we learned that he was in an unusual situation. Specifically, his home insurance providers had yet to approve his roof replacement.
What was the holdup?
As it turns out, the manufacturer had discontinued the asphalt shingles on Brian’s existing roof. To process his claim, his insurance company wanted proof that this was true.
That proof? Samples from his currently installed shingles.
Starting Brian’s Roofing Project Before His Claim Was Covered
The project also had another notable wrinkle. Brian didn’t want to wait for his insurance coverage to come through.
Instead, he wanted the work to proceed while his claim was still being processed. This meant he was potentially taking full financial responsibility for his roof replacement. Frankly, that’s a big risk.
But Brian knew that Victory specializes in no-money-down exterior projects.
Removing The Old Roof Material And Sending A Sample
The first step in any properly performed roof replacement is removing the existing materials. On the appointed day, our specialized Victory crew arrived on-site and carried out this essential task.
Brian’s home is modest in size, and his roof layout is very straightforward. For these reasons, the process didn’t take long.
Completing Brian’s New Roof And Doing Additional Work
That same day, we installed Brian’s new roof materials. We also did some additional work for him.
For starters, we replaced his Northeast home’s soffit and fascia.
Soffit sits underneath your roof’s eaves, where it plays a crucial role in providing adequate ventilation. Fascia sits between the soffit and the roof itself. It supports your gutters and helps keep your roof watertight.
Brian also needed new gutters, which we happily provided.
Your Source For Personalized Exterior Services
To be honest, we never found out if Brian’s insurance company approved his claim. That information was beyond our purview once his project was complete.
But we can tell you for certain that Brian was pleased with our help and our services.
So much so that he asked us back to work on several additional updates to his home’s exterior!
